The video of my presentation at the International Symposium on Online Journalism at UT Austin in April 2011 is now available. The paper I presented draws on the research for our Participatory Journalism book. In the presentation, I suggest that journalists view audiences as “active recipients”, somewhere between passive receivers and active creators of content.
