Hootsuite hosts #TellEveryone panel on social media

Tell Everyone bookOn Thursday, February 19, 2015, Hootsuite Labs is hosting me to discuss his newest book: Tell Everyone: Why We Share and Why It Matters (DoubleDay Canada). The book examines how our ability to create and share news is shaping the information we receive and depend on to make informed decisions.

“Is the most trusted name in news today a veteran anchor on television or an undergraduate tweeting from Tahrir Square in Cairo?” This is among the multitudes of thoughtful and challenging questions raised in Tell Everyone.

The book points out ways that social media has unequivocally changed the reporting landscape, from new approaches to how and where news stories are sourced and distributed to their effects on shaping public opinion.

The evening will kick off with a short presentation by myself, followed by a panel discussion with some esteemed media experts including veteran entrepreneur Michael Tippett, Syrian journalist and author Danny Ramadan. The panel will be moderated by David Godsall, a seasoned editor and current editorial manager for the Hootsuite Blog.

Join me for an evening of conversation, healthy debate and a new perspective on media today.
